Waterfalls in Bulgaria
The "Slivovdolsko Padalo" waterfall called also "Slivodolsko Padalo" is one of the highest waterfalls in the Rhodope Mountain. It is located in the "Chervenata Stena "(The Red Wall) Reserve in the Western Rhodopes, shortly after Bachkovo.
The area around the river is very picturesque and right before the waterfall the tourists can enjoy many small cascades and waterfalls. It takes approximately 1 hour of walking to reach the waterfall. The trail can be taken from the exit of the third road tunnel Asenovgrad - Smolyan (shortly after Bachkovo). A marked trail from the Martsiganitsa hut goes to the waterfall too.
The waterfall is most beautiful during the spring freshet, it declines afterwards.
